Inspired by my good friend Jon Mertz, of Thin Difference, who wrote his own post called Live an Unlife Life, I  proffer this UNpost.

I came into this world as Love. Pure. Unselfish. Beholding the world as a magical place.  Seeing everything simply, for what it is, without judgement, and with a wide-eyed sense of wonder. I choose to return to who I really am.

I use my imagination to stretch myself to more than I had ever imagined and to create the life of my dreams.

I unyield to what the world expects from me. I will create my own destiny by listening to my soul.

I unabsorb the frequencies of those around me. I emit my own frequency and imprint my intent on the Universe.

And today…

I live unabashedly out loud.

What about you? Will you join me in writing your own UNpost? Will you unencumber yourself of all the obstacles you once put on your own path? I hope you will. I believe in you. I hope you do, too!

We must unlearn before we can learn (Gloria Steinem). This is a great message of unencumbering, unyielding, unclosing our heart…removing those things that keep us weighted down from moving forward.

    • Shelley Lundquist says:

Thank you, Carmen. I agree. Learning to unlearn is such an important part of the spiritual journey. The journey home to who we truly are under all the untruths that we have been told and have believed about ourselves.

The feels so good to have set myself free.

Not to long ago I wrote that I was in UNcovery. Not recovery because I want to uncover all the untruths I bought into. I with you Shelley. Here’s to our Uncovery 🙂

I say the same, Peggy! It is about UNcovery! Uncovering who we already are at the core, underneath all the madness we chose to accept.

      Yes! Here’s to our Uncovery!

  3. Sharon O'Day says:

A good friend of mine calls the process we go through as we morph from those perfect little beings we are when we arrive … as “domestication.” Changing in order to fit in with the mores (and fears) of society. Here’s to UNdoing all of that! Wonderful article, Shelley.

    • Shelley Lundquist says:

How horrid that sounds to me. “Domestication.” Ugh Why would anybody want to be caught up in the momentum of mediocrity?!

      Yes… here’s to UN-doing all of that!

  4. Sheila Callaham says:

Love it! Reminds me of a similar post I wrote about myself coming “Unzipped” and revealing who I would be. 🙂 Doesn’t it feel wonderful to be authentic?!!! <3

    • Shelley Lundquist says:

I love that, Sheila! Unzipped and revealing who you are. 🙂

Authenticity feels amazing. Once i learned to honour it, there was just no turning back!

  5. Chara says:

Your wording really opens up these ideas, Shelley. I like this concept of the doing and the undoing, the creating and the uncreating.

  6. Debra Oakland says:

I love the words in your UNpost Shelley – you always inspire me in new and fun ways. I choose to be an Unencumbered Woman Unchained! Muah & Love to you my fearless friend.

    • Shelley Lundquist says:

Awww… thank you, Debra. And I’m so glad you are an Unencumbered Woman Unchained! I love that you live your life courageously sharing your big beautiful heart. You are an inspiration to me and to so many. Always sending you Love & Light Muah!

Another great post that resonates with my journey towards being just me. Unlearning all that has been programmed into us is a sometimes painful and difficult challenge. Thank you for the wisdom!!!

    • Shelley Lundquist says:

Thank you, Mary. Life gets easier as we learn from each other and to listen and hear what resonates.

I wish i’d learned that a long time ago, but i stubbornly held on to all that “programming” until i learned to see it was just that.

And now i am free to just be me.

Of course, i had the power all along. Just as we all do. 🙂

  8. Shelley Lundquist says:

Excellent! It makes me so happy to hear that you are on your own journey toward being you. Throw off those shackles and shine your Light. That you have the courage to dare to live there will get you through the challenges. I believe in you.

And thank you for sharing a part of you with all of us here. Love & Light, my friend.

  9. Joy Balma says:

When we are born, we are naked and unashamed and when we die, we leave the same. Our bodies matter not, judgments don’t exist. The question is how we do we UNlive in between.

Lovely post Shelley! I am feeling inspired to UNcreate today!

    • Shelley Lundquist says:

Beautiful, Joy. Thank you. May you live every moment unencumbered and full of the magic that you are.
